FALC

Founded in April of 2019, we are a non-profit animal rescue established in Leon county, that seeks to focus on the welfare of cats and kittens in the area. We assist with the Fat Cat Books, and Fat Cat Cafe located near Governor Square, to adopt out kitties of all ages and sizes to find them their furever home. Fat Cat Cafe’ has been so successful and has been a wonderful experience, however it soon found out the financial challenges of a cat cafe and therefore was in need of teaming up with a non- profit to continue its mission. Fat Cat Books serves to be a safe haven for adoptable adult and senior cats where used books and other items are for sale. We plan to branch out into the community with several programs involving Senior Citizen Companion Animals, Door to Door Education of Animal Welfare, an extended TNR program for North Florida and much more.

mission

To advocate on behalf of the rights of animals in Leon County, specifically cats, but on occasion others. To provide service and care to animals in an attempt to reduce suffering, and to re-home homeless animals.
